ABOUT EMAGINE

emagine is a leading technology consulting and staffing company operating across Europe, India, and the UAE. We connect highly skilled tech professionals with ambitious organisations, driving digital transformation at scale. People are at the heart of everything we do and the People function is growing to match our ambitions.

THE ROLE

The Senior HR Business Partner role is a deliberately broad one, designed for a seasoned HR professional who thrives at the intersection of strategic partnership and hands-on country expertise. Think Country HR Manager meets senior HR Business Partner. You are both the regional authority and the trusted advisor to leadership.

Reporting to the Deputy Chief People Officer, you will be the primary People partner for emagine's Nordic region in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, based in Copenhagen. You bring the experience and seniority to navigate complex people situations independently, the commercial acumen to align People initiatives with business outcomes, and the credibility to influence at the most senior levels. You will also collaborate actively with People peers across emagine's global footprint on cross-border projects and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic P&C Consultancy and Advisory

  • Serve as the strategic People Consultant for business leaders across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Operating with a high degree of autonomy to understand priorities, anticipate people needs, and co-design solutions that drive performance.
  • Challenge, advise, and support leaders on organisational design, team effectiveness, talent development, and workforce planning — bringing both rigour and pragmatism.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable People plans; use data and insight to build the case for investment in people initiatives and influence leadership decisions.
  • Coach and develop managers and senior leaders on leadership effectiveness, feedback culture, and how to bring out the best in their teams.

Country HR Management

  • Act as the senior HR authority across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. Ensuring full compliance with employment law, collective agreements, and regulatory requirements in each market.
  • Own and manage the full employee relations landscape, from complex performance and disciplinary matters to restructuring and redundancy processes with sound judgement, legal rigour, and care.
  • Partner closely with the Senior HR Ops Specialist to ensure seamless delivery of payroll, contracts, and operational HR processes at the Nordic level.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of local market trends in compensation, benefits, and working practices; make and advocate for recommendations with confidence.

Talent & Culture

  • Drive the talent agenda: lead on key hiring decisions, design onboarding experiences that stick, and build succession pipelines in partnership with senior leaders.
  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive culture, designing and delivering initiatives that strengthen engagement, belonging, and development across the Nordics.
  • Lead cyclical People processes (performance reviews, salary reviews, engagement surveys) end-to-end, ensuring they run smoothly and generate real business value.

People Projects & Thought Leadership

  • Lead or take a senior role in cross-functional People projects. From job architecture and compensation benchmarking to policy development and change management.
  • Use people data and analytics to identify trends, surface risks, and make evidence-based recommendations to the Deputy CPO and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with People peers across emagine's global footprint on cross-border projects, sharing best practices and contributing to global People strategy.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Experience & Background

  • 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant time in senior business partnering and/or country HR management roles.
  • Background in a technology company, IT consultancy, or similarly fast-paced, commercially-driven environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR practice across Denmark, Sweden, and/or Norway; coverage of all three markets is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of handling complex, sensitive employee relations cases and advising senior leaders independently.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or significantly contributing to cross-country HR projects and initiatives.

Skills & Attributes

  • Commercially savvy and strategically minded: you understand the business deeply, not just the HR playbook.
  • A highly credible communicator — able to challenge, influence, and build genuine trust at the most senior levels.
  • Equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up your sleeves: you lead and you do.
  • Resilient, proactive, and at ease with ambiguity in a scaling, international organisation.
  • Fluent in English; Danish is strongly preferred.

WHAT EMAGINE OFFERS

  • A senior, high-impact People role with genuine strategic influence and real autonomy.
  • Direct partnership with the Deputy Chief People Officer and visibility at the highest levels of the organisation.
  • The opportunity to shape culture and people practice across a growing, international business.
  • A diverse, collaborative team operating across 10+ countries.
  • Competitive senior-level salary, benefits, and the flexibility that comes with a high-trust environment.
