You thrive in a work culture defined by freedom with responsibility, collaboration, and co-creation. Like us, you are motivated by impact - designing ships as efficiently and sustainably as possible to reduce the maritime industry’s environmental footprint.

A Typical Day at OSK Design

No two days are the same at OSK Design. Depending on the project phase, you will combine technical engineering, collaboration, and client interaction while working alongside colleagues across our offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Lisbon.

A typical day may include:

  • Developing structural concepts and calculations for newbuild vessels, from early concept studies to basic design
  • Performing structural analyses and dimensioning using FEM tools to ensure safe, efficient and class-compliant designs
  • Leading the structural design of selected projects while coordinating with fellow engineers and draftsmen
  • Working closely with naval architects, machinery engineers and electrical specialists to develop integrated vessel designs

  • Reviewing drawings, reports and calculations to ensure the highest technical quality
  • Contributing to both innovative newbuild projects and conversions, helping customers improve vessel performance, sustainability and operational efficiency
  • Sharing knowledge with experienced colleagues while taking ownership of technical decisions and mentoring less experienced engineers

At OSK Design, you will work on a wide variety of vessel types, including ferries, cruise ships, defence vessels and offshore wind support vessels. You'll be part of an international team where collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional development are part of everyday life, giving you the opportunity to influence projects from the earliest concepts to vessels entering service.
