The Assistant Designer will work directly with the Design Team to support the design and product development process across all categories at HELIOT EMIL. You will contribute to the creation of seasonal collections from initial research through to final approved designs. This is a hands-on role requiring strong aesthetic sensibility, technical understanding, and a passion for innovative product development in a fast-paced, high-creativity environment.

  • Desired skills and qualifications:

Strong drawing and visualization skills. Experience with tech pack creation and comment files. Pattern drafting and garment construction knowledge. Experience with toiling and sample development. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work across multiple projects and deadlines. Understanding of fashion product development processes. 1–2 years of experience as an Assistant Designer, Junior Designer, or in a similar role within the fashion industry. Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel. Experience with CLO3D and Blender is considered a plus.

  • Your tasks will include but will not be limited to:

Assist the Design Team in developing seasonal collections across ready-to-wear, outerwear, knitwear, jersey, and accessoriesSupport the design process from initial research and concept development through to final approved designsCreate and update technical sketches, design specifications, and tech packsPrepare presentation materials, line sheets, and design documentationConduct trend, fabric, trim, and market researchAssist in fittings, sample reviews, and product development meetingsCommunicate with product developers and suppliers regarding design details and sample correctionsOrganize and maintain design archives, material libraries, and seasonal development filesSupport the team with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks related to collection development.
