About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Cyber Security Quantification Specialist to join our Quantification Services team as part of a structured development path toward becoming a full Cyber Risk Quantification Specialist.
No prior experience in cyber risk is required — we’re looking for strong analytical thinking, curiosity about cyber security, and a genuine interest in the financial/quantitative side of risk management. The attitude you bring is more important than the experience that you have. You’ll be trained on industry-standard methodologies, including the FAIR (Factor Analysis of Information Risk) model, and will work alongside experienced quantification specialists to build real-world modelling skills.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build a specialised, in-demand skill set at the intersection of cyber security, data, and finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the team in gathering and organising data used for cyber risk quantification (asset values, threat data, control information).
- Learn and begin applying quantitative risk methodologies (primarily FAIR) under the guidance of senior team members.
- Assist in building and maintaining basic loss models and risk scenarios.
- Help prepare reports, charts, and summaries that translate risk findings into clear, understandable formats.
- Participate in structured training, certification study, and on-the-job coaching toward FAIR proficiency.
- Coordinate with security, IT, and business teams to collect information needed for risk assessments.
- Maintain documentation, model inputs, and data quality for ongoing risk analyses.
- Progressively take on more complex quantification tasks as skills develop.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interest in cyber security, risk management, and/or data analysis — no professional experience required.
- Comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and basic statistical concepts (we will teach the rest).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills — able to explain ideas clearly. Fluency in Danish and English is a requirement.
- Bachelor’s degree (or in final year of studies) in a relevant field such as Cyber Security, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline — or equivalent demonstrated interest/aptitude.
- Willingness to learn new frameworks, tools, and methodologies, and to pursue certification (e.g., Open FAIR) as part of the role.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Basic familiarity with Excel or data tools.
- Exposure to cyber security concepts through coursework, projects, self-study, or certifications.
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, SQL) — not required, but a plus.
- Any prior internship, project, or coursework touching on risk, security, or data analysis.
What We Offer
- Structured training and mentorship toward becoming a Cyber Risk Quantification Specialist.
- Support and sponsorship for relevant certifications (e.g., Open FAIR).
- Hybrid working model (2-3 days per week at office in central Copenhagen)
- Clear career progression path within the Cyber Security / Risk function.
- A supportive work environment, focused on well being and excellence.
If you’re interested in the role, please send your resume and a cover letter to ish@acirm.dk. Please write the name of the position you’re applying for in the subject line.
We’ll be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis, and will close the position when we have found the right candidate.
