Twoday is the leading digital transformation partner in Northern Europe with a global presence. With approximately 3,000 specialists, we collaborate with some of the most admired private and public organisations to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions. Our expertise spans software engineering, Data & AI, cloud platforms, digital experiences and business applications.

We are now looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help transform a large-scale development and deployment platform from traditional DevOps into a modern AI-assisted and agentic engineering setup.

Permanent position at Twoday | Copenhagen

Solution Architect - Digital Health

Digital Engineering | Copenhagen

Shape the technical direction of complex digital solutions

We are looking for experienced Solution Architects to join Twoday and help shape long-term, business-critical solutions within Danish digital healthcare.

These are complex application and integration landscapes where architecture is about more than selecting technologies. Solutions need to be secure, resilient and maintainable, integrate effectively with other systems and continue to evolve over many years.

Several development teams and suppliers will contribute to the overall delivery, making the ability to establish and communicate a coherent technical direction particularly important.

What you will be doing

As a Solution Architect, you will work at the intersection of business needs, software engineering, integration, security and operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

Translating business and technical requirements into robust solution architecture

Designing application and integration architectures

Defining and communicating architectural principles and technical guidelines

Making and documenting architectural decisions

Working closely with developers and other architects

Ensuring coherence across applications, integrations, data and platforms

Identifying technical risks, dependencies and opportunities for modernisation

Contributing to the management and reduction of technical debt

Ensuring that security and compliance considerations are reflected in solution design

Creating technical alignment across teams and suppliers

The technology landscape may include Java and Open Source technologies, REST and SOAP, Kafka, RabbitMQ, microservices, event-driven architecture, Domain-Driven Design, OAuth2/OIDC, OIOSAML, Infrastructure as Code and containerised platforms.

Architecture is documented and communicated using relevant approaches such as C4 models and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).

What we are looking for

You have professional experience as a Solution Architect, Software Architect or a highly experienced software developer with substantial architectural responsibility.

We are particularly interested in candidates who:

Have a strong understanding of software and integration architecture

Have worked with distributed systems and APIs

Understand event-driven architectures and messaging

Can translate business needs into sound technical decisions

Understand identity, access management and application security

Can communicate complex technical decisions clearly to different audiences

Can create alignment and commitment around architectural decisions

Enjoy working closely with engineering teams rather than operating at a distance from implementation

Experience within digital healthcare, the public sector or other highly regulated and business-critical environments is a significant advantage.

Experience working in multi-supplier environments is also highly relevant, as the role requires you to create technical coherence across organisational boundaries.

Professional fluency in Danish, both spoken and written, is required. You must also be able to work onsite at the customer location in Copenhagen when required.

Architecture that works in practice

At Twoday, we believe architecture should enable engineering rather than constrain it.

You will join a strong professional environment where architects and engineers work closely together, combining long-term technical direction with an understanding of the realities development teams face every day.

What we offer

You will join Twoday as a permanent employee and become part of a strong professional community across software engineering, architecture, cloud and data.

You'll work on long-term, business-critical customer engagements and have the opportunity to develop your expertise across some of Denmark's most important digital solutions.

About Twoday

Twoday operates from modern offices across 30 locations in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Lithuania. We have a strong and unique social environment with highly engaged employees. If you are the candidate we are looking for, you will play a central role with exciting opportunities to grow within an international and innovative group, working on cutting-edge technology and software solutions. You will also have the flexibility to occasionally work from one of our main offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki or Vilnius.

Diversity & inclusion

Do you not meet all the requirements? Studies show that women and minorities are less likely to apply for a job if they don’t meet every qualification. At Twoday, we are committed to building a workplace and community where everyone is welcome. If you are excited about this role but your previous experience doesn’t perfectly align with the job description, we still encourage you to apply.
