Assume overall responsibility for business-critical regulated applications
As Head of Regulated Applications, you will report directly to the VP, Head of Global IT and become a member of the Global IT Leadership Team. You will establish and lead the Regulated Applications function with end-to-end responsibility for the strategy, governance and lifecycle management of business-critical GxP applications supporting R&D and other regulated business areas.
In this role, you will build, lead and develop the Regulated Applications team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. You will define and execute the application strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment between business priorities, technology innovation and regulatory requirements, and you will lead global transformation initiatives, including enterprise platforms such as Veeva, ensuring successful transition from implementation into sustainable operations.
You will own the regulated application portfolio, ensuring effective governance, compliance, validation, cybersecurity, risk management and inspection readiness. You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across R&D, Quality, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security and external vendors to continuously improve business capabilities and user experience, while also overseeing vendor management, outsourced services, software licensing, service performance and operational budgets.
Experienced Application Professional with proven leadership experience
You hold a relevant university degree within Computer Science, Life Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related discipline, and bring proven experience leading application management within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or medical device industry. You have responsibility for regulated GxP applications and ideally bring experience with platforms such as Veeva or similar GxP regulated enterprise solutions. Furthermore, you possess a strong understanding of application lifecycle management, IT governance, validation, compliance, vendor management, budgeting, and service delivery.
Personally, you are characterized by a keen sense of initiative and determination to drive innovation. Your proactive approach to problem-solving, coupled with exceptional communication skills, facilitates effective interactions with stakeholders at all levels and is skilled at translating complex technical topics into clear business value. Your self-driven nature manifests in a strong sense of urgency and determination to propel projects forward.
As a leader, you develop high-performing teams through empowerment, coaching, and clear direction. You are comfortable with hands-on leadership and operating across both business and technology domains. You foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement, and you are equally comfortable guiding teams through operational challenges and organizational change. You combine strategic vision with operational excellence, demonstrating the ability to translate complex business challenges into scalable digital solutions.
