Student Assistant Position at CIE – SDU Sønderborg

The Centre for Industrial Electronics (CIE) at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) invites applications for a Student Research Assistant position (10 hours per week). This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated student to gain research experience in capacitor technologies. Starting date: as soon as possible for 1 year.

Research Area

The successful candidate will contribute to activities related to the fabrication and characterization of capacitors, including:

  • Electrolytic capacitors

  • Metallized film capacitors

The work will involve laboratory-based experiments, materials characterization, performance testing, and data analysis aimed at supporting the development of next-generation capacitor technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a student research assistant, you will:

  • Assist in the fabrication and assembly of capacitor prototypes.

  • Perform electrical and materials characterization experiments.

  • Collect, analyze, and document experimental data.

  • Support laboratory maintenance and equipment operation.

  • Collaborate with researchers, PhD students, and other team members on ongoing research projects.

 

Required Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • An educational background in Electronics Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • Theoretical knowledge of advanced electronics.

  • Hands-on laboratory experience related to capacitor fabrication and characterization.

  • The ability to work independently and systematically in a research laboratory.

Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL (National Union for Student Teachers in Government Service).
