Chief Technology Officer for Tax & Legal

Weidekampsgade 6, 2300 København, Denmark

Full-time

Field of interest: Legal

Level of hire: Experienced hire

Company Description

With more than 2700 employees, Deloitte is the largest audit and consultancy firm in Denmark. We tailor solutions across Audit, Tax, Financial Advisory Services, Enterprise Risk Services, Technology, and Transformations.

About the team

Tax & Legal is one of Denmark's leading professional services practices. Our team exists to deliver exceptional client outcomes through innovative, technology-enabled service delivery. We're building a practice where technology accelerates growth, drives operational excellence, and enables our people to do their best work.

Job Description

We're seeking a Chief Technology Officer to lead the technology agenda across our Danish Tax & Legal practice. This is a business-focused leadership role—not a traditional infrastructure position. You'll translate Tax & Legal priorities into technology initiatives that create measurable business value, working closely with Service Line Leaders, Partners, and Deloitte Global leadership. A key part of your role is connecting local business priorities with Nordic and Global technology initiatives, ensuring we benefit from investments and best practices across the wider Deloitte network.

In this role, you will make an impact by:

Developing and executing the Tax & Legal technology strategy aligned with business priorities, ensuring technology investments deliver tangible outcomes for clients and operations.

Acting as a trusted advisor to Tax & Legal leadership, identifying where technology can enhance client service, improve efficiency, drive innovation, and strengthen compliance.

Leading the technology portfolio, including strategic platforms, AI and automation initiatives, and emerging technologies that support service delivery and business growth.

Driving technology adoption and transformation, ensuring investments deliver sustainable change and measurable business value across the practice.

Managing strategic technology vendors and partnerships, optimizing costs while maximizing value and maintaining strong commercial relationships.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone with significant technology leadership experience who understands the opportunities and challenges facing modern Tax & Legal practices. You can translate business priorities into practical technology initiatives that improve client service, efficiency, quality, compliance, and innovation, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

What you bring to the team:

Technology leadership experience in digital transformation, business technology strategy, or similar roles, with a track record of delivering measurable outcomes.

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior business leaders, build consensus across diverse groups, and communicate complex technology concepts clearly.

Experience managing complex technology programmes, vendor relationships, and commercial partnerships in professional services or similar environments.

Business acumen and strategic mindset, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery while remaining pragmatic and execution-focused.

Experience with Tax, Legal, or Professional Services (preferred), including understanding of service delivery models, business processes, and the role of AI, automation, and knowledge management in modern practices.

Experience with Partner-driven businesses (preferred), understanding how partner models influence technology strategy and organizational dynamics.

Even if you do not see yourself in all the bullets above, we still encourage you to apply if you believe your skills can make an impact on our team.
