GROUP SENIOR TECHNICAL DEVELOPER FOR ALLER AQUA GROUP

Are you passionate about operational excellence and process optimization within aquafeed production? Would you like to support and strengthen performance across Aller Aqua’s seven production sites worldwide through a hands-on and practical approach?

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Group Senior Technical Developer located in Denmark (HQ) and to join our Group Technical team. In this global role reporting to the Group Technical Manager, you will act as a key technical support partner to our factories, helping identify improvement opportunities, solve operational challenges, and drive sustainable performance improvements across the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of Aller Aqua’s global technical support function, your primary focus will be to help our production sites improve operational performance and achieve their business objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing production processes and performance data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
• Supporting factories in troubleshooting operational and process-related challenges.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives in close collaboration with local production and technical teams.
• Applying in-depth knowledge of raw materials and their functional properties to optimize extrusion processes, ensuring stable operations, consistent product quality, and enhanced production performance.
• Implementing and promoting best practices, standards, and efficient ways of working across production sites.
• Following up on improvement initiatives to ensure measurable KPI improvements in areas such as throughput, yield, energy consumption, and quality.
• Providing technical expertise within key production processes, including:
  • Grinding
  • Extrusion
  • Drying
  • Liquid application and coating
• Contributing to knowledge sharing, competency development, and technical training throughout the organization.
• Facilitating workshops, technical training sessions, and improvement activities across multiple locations.

The position involves close collaboration with international stakeholders and requires regular travel to Aller Aqua production sites worldwide.

YOUR PROFILE

You are a hands-on and collaborative professional who enjoys working close to operations and creating tangible improvements through technical expertise and practical solutions.

We expect you to bring:

• A relevant degree within Process Engineering, Food Technology, Feed Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of practical experience working with twin-screw and/or single-screw extrusion processes within feed, food, pet food, or similar process industries.
• Hands-on experience from a manufacturing environment, preferably in a role such as Process Engineer, Production Specialist, or similar.
• A proven track record within:
  • Process and product optimization
  • Operational troubleshooting
  • Continuous improvement
  • Cross-functional project execution

In addition, you bring:

• A structured and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to work effectively across cultures, functions, and geographical locations.
• Solid understanding of process technology and how raw materials impact production performance.
• You speak fluent English and travel 50-70 days
