Stillingsbeskrivelsen fra BSS PSY Psykologisk Institut

Applications are invited from early-career postdoctoral researchers who can demonstrate an established track record in big data analytics within the field of substance use. The two-year full time position will commence in February 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. You will get the opportunity to analyse and publish on big data from a very large RCT examining out-of-the-box brain-based interventions for adolescents engaged in alcohol use. You will also get unique opportunities to examine risk and protective factors for substance use and related behaviors across large adolescent datasets.

You will be working under the strong mentorship of Professor Kristine Rømer Thomsen at Aarhus University and Professor Sarah W. Feldstein Ewing (UConn Health, U.S.), and in close collaboration with other prominent researchers in the field. The Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research is part of the Department of Psychology and Behavioural Sciences at Aarhus University and provides a vibrant and stimulating research environment in the charming city of Aarhus.

About the applicant

We are thrilled to welcome individuals of any nationality to come live in Denmark and join the project. Appointment as postdoc requires scientific qualifications at the PhD level in a relevant field. You must be able to demonstrate a track record in big data analytics in, or closely related to, the substance use field, and the capacity to not only conduct advanced quantitative analyses, but also the capacity to easily communicate those analyses, e.g., chat with colleagues on the project; write up relevant analytics plans and output in English, including for high impact international journals. The data collection was recently completed, offering attractive opportunities to examine and publish on large datasets and be part of a nationally and internationally strong research team.
